STORAGE SPACE, LLC
Storage Space, LLC in Little Rock, Arkansas opened in June
1996 with a goal to provide quality services at affordable prices
that were currently not available in their local community. The
company was started by John A. Heavner with four storage
buildings and 227 rooms. In 1998 building five was constructed
bringing the room total to 260. In the summer of 1999, John and
his then ten year old son Chad built building number six, with
this bringing the room total to 278.
John A. Heavner
John's four year old son, Joshua Andrew loved coming to work
with his Daddy. Customers called him the "little boss man." On
March 27, 2000 tragedy struck and Joshua was killed by a
runaway U-Haul truck in the driveway of the self storage facility.
Two weeks later, on April 10, 2000 John's father, William (Bill)
Heavner was also killed while turkey hunting. Bill Heavner had
been an inspiration and supporter of Storage Space, LLC since
it had started. He had also helped in the construction.

In April of 2002 Dennis White joined Storage Space, LLC as
the first full time staff member. Dennis brought with him self
storage experience as well as experience in heat and air, trailer
hitches, and computer skills. That same year, buildings seven,
eight, and nine were constructed. In 2003 building ten was
built and in 2004 building number eleven was added. This
brought the self storage room total to 405 with almost 50,000
square feet and eighteen outside parking spots.
The year 2006 added the final member of the Storage Space
staff, John's son Chad. We hope that you will drop by and give

John's book, How Bad Can It Get? was published in October 2009. How Bad
Can It Get? is the gripping true story of tragic events and the ensuing legal
battles that occurred in John's life. The downward turn of events began when
John witnessed Joshua being run over by a U-Haul truck here at Storage
Space, LLC. Exactly two weeks later his father was tragically killed in a hunting
accident. The story takes you through the timeline of events as John endures
death, eviction, and three separate court battles. It is a must read story that
had to be told. For more information or to own a signed copy click this link
